2026 Okanagan Flower Season

Beautiful flower photos in Armstrong are still possible this year 🌻

If you’ve been waiting for the Bloom Sunflower Festival in Armstrong this year, you may have already heard the news.

Bloom is taking this season off after welcoming a new baby into their family, and they’ll be back again next year. 💛

BUT.

I’ve already had several people reach out asking me about doing photos at Bloom this year, so I wanted to have a really great backup option for when I had to break the news.

Meet Sparrow Grass Field & Flower

Just a few minutes away from Bloom is Sparrow Grass Field & Flower, a gorgeous Armstrong flower farm with rows of gardens, open field, beautiful greenery, rustic little pockets around the property and, yes, some sunflowers too. 🌻

There’s actually a neat connection here too.

Sparrow Grass is located in the same field where Bloom operated in 2023 and 2024.

I’ve photographed my own family on this property before (the first photo in this blog), and recently stopped by again with my cell phone to take some updated photos so clients can get a better idea of what the location currently looks like.

It gives us WAY more variety than just standing in one row of flowers.

Depending on what’s blooming when we go, we can wander through the gardens, use the fields, photograph around the property and, of course, find those little pockets of sunflower happiness.

And because these are not limited mini sessions, you aren’t being squeezed into one specific date or a tiny time slot.

How Sessions Work

Sessions at Sparrow Grass can be booked using any of my regular Legacy Session options.

Sparrow Grass charges photographers a $65/hour location fee, so that fee would simply be added to whichever Legacy Session package you choose.

Not Just Sunflowers

I also want to emphasize this part because I think Sparrow Grass deserves more credit than just being “the place with some sunflowers.” The property itself is beautiful.

There are flower rows, gardens, fields and so many different little areas we can use, which means your gallery can have a lot more variety than photos taken entirely in one crop.

If your main goal is giant fields of nothing-but-sunflowers, this probably isn’t going to recreate the Bloom Festival experience exactly. But if you want beautiful, summery, flower-filled family photos in Armstrong? This is such a lovely option.

And I’m VERY excited to photograph there again. Send me a message and we'll make it happen🌻💛
