2024 Goddess Retreat 3 Valley Gap

Selina's First Goddesses Retreat: A Weekend of Magic, Memories, and Sisterhood

On July 5th–7th, 2024, something truly unforgettable happened: the very first Selina’s Goddesses Retreat came to life at the enchanting Three Valley Gap Chateau in British Columbia. What started as a vision shared inside our private Facebook group became a soulful, joy-filled weekend where women gathered not just for photos, but for connection, laughter, healing, and a little ghostly fun.

This place—nestled beside a pristine lake and shadowed by the whispering mountains—had already tugged at my heart when I visited with my family. I knew immediately I’d be back. And this time, I wasn’t coming alone.

Together, we explored the sprawling Chateau grounds, basked in the natural beauty of Three Valley Lake, and marveled at the nearby Eagle Pass Waterfall. We wandered through the Ghost Town, a historic treasure trove of over 25 buildings echoing with stories of the past, and we even dined in the haunted dining hall, dressed in vintage-inspired outfits that made us feel like time travelers. Yes, we went all in—and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Let’s Talk About the Magic

Photos were at the heart of this weekend, not just mine as your photographer, but yours too. Phones were encouraged, selfies celebrated, and candid, joy-soaked snapshots taken by everyone were later compiled to create a communal memory book of the experience. For once, it wasn’t just about being the one behind the camera—it was about being seen, fully, joyfully, and without apology.

A Weekend of Soulful Simplicity

The Chateau itself was perfectly imperfect—quirky, cozy, and undeniably charming. A step above camping, sure, with no A/C and spotty Wi-Fi, but absolutely none of that mattered. We were too busy soaking in the hot tub, chatting over breakfast, taking dips in the lake, and playing pool late into the night to miss modern luxuries.

Some women came to rest, some to explore, some to reconnect with themselves—and all of it was welcome. The agenda was light and flexible, filled with invitations, not obligations.

Here’s a little glimpse of what went down:

Friday, July 5th – The Warm-Up

  • 4:00 PM – I arrived and checked in to the Chateau, heart racing with anticipation.

  • 5:45 PM – Dinner with early arrivals at the Chateau’s cozy restaurant—laughter, introductions, and the feeling that this was going to be special.

  • 7:00 PM – Pool and hot tub hangs to unwind after a day of travel and get into the retreat flow.

Saturday, July 6th – The Big Day

  • 9:45 AM – Morning coffee and breakfast with whoever was ready to start their day with me.

  • 11:00 AM – Kayaking, lakeside lounging, and beach time—pure bliss under the mountain sun.

  • 12:30 PM – A tranquil garden picnic where everyone brought their own lunch and just was.

  • 5:00 PM – Ghost Town Tour… and yes, we met a few spirits of the past!

  • 5:50 PM – Our highlight moment: the BBQ dinner inside the haunted dining hall. The outfits were everything. The food was amazing. And the photos? Legendary.

  • 7:30 PM – Another dip in the hot tub to cap off the day, with new friends and full hearts.

Sunday, July 7th – Farewell, But Not Goodbye

  • 9:45 AM – A slow breakfast, hugs, reflections.

  • 11:00 AM – Checkout—but not before one last group photo.

  • 11:30 AM – A short drive to Eagle Pass Waterfall for one last breath of nature’s majesty, a few final photos, and a collective deep sigh of gratitude.

Memories Captured in Light

Throughout the weekend, I had my camera in hand—not as a service, but as a witness. A witness to women letting go. Laughing. Crying. Celebrating themselves in a place that felt outside of time. Every photo we took was a reminder that we were here. That we belonged. That we were worthy of joy and play and connection.

And the best part? We left with more than just beautiful portraits. We left with community. With memories. With the kind of weekend you carry with you for years.

This retreat was everything I dreamed of and more—and it was just the beginning. The first spark of something bigger, something deeper. Selina’s Goddesses isn’t just a group anymore. It’s a movement.

To everyone who joined me: thank you. To everyone who missed it: stay tuned. The next chapter is already calling.
